“Dzień Borsuka” is a small, invented by me, holiday dedicated to doing absolutely nothing when you need it most. It doesn’t have a fixed date. It simply appears on the day when rest stops being optional. This postcard started as a loose pencil sketch of a badger, surrounded by small comforts and, initially, bees. The line is intentionally soft and a bit messy, closer to a note in a sketchbook than a polished illustration. It reflects the mood of the holiday itself: slow, quiet and unapologetically unproductive. The idea grew beyond the drawing into a small, personal world, including a song accompanied by a harp (search for a song by Barbara Karlik - Badger's Day), telling the story of “Dzień Borsuka” in its own gentle rhythm. The project lives somewhere between illustration and storytelling, built around a simple concept: sometimes the most important thing you can do is stop.
