This digital watercolor illustration captures a quiet, familiar moment: a fox curled up against a warm cup of hot beverage, somewhere between rest and daydreaming. The process combines two approaches. The outline was first created as a clean vector contour in Adobe Illustrator (some very basic and rough botanical sketches were included in the process), giving the form clarity and structure. It was then brought into Photoshop, where the linework became a base for further work. Black details were layered on top of soft, diffused digital brushes that mimic watercolor. This contrast between precise outline and loose, painterly texture defines the final look. The slightly blurred edges and layered color give the piece a gentle, atmospheric quality, while the line keeps everything grounded and readable. It is less about realism and more about mood, warmth, stillness and that small pause you get with a hot drink in your hands.
